What lakes do you fish in the Kamloops area?

There is a long list of waterbodies that we frequent in the Kamloops area depending on season, elevation, and hatch timing.  Most of our fishing is done within one hour of Kamloops in any direction.

What if I have never tried fly fishing before?

Then that is great!  A full day of guided fly fishing will easily cut down the learning curve for you.  All equipment is provided, if you are a beginner then the first half of the day is heavily focused towards dialing in casting and fishing techniques.  There is nobody out there that cannot learn how to fly fish.

What type of boat do we fish from?

Our boat is a 1756 VBW G3.  Being seventeen feet in length and very stable allows two anglers plus a guide more than enough room.  The boat is outfitted with a front and rear carpeted casting platforms, 360 swivel seats on pedestal mounts, rod holders, dual anchor systems and a 30hp Yamaha 4-Stroke outboard.

When is the best time of year?

Truth be told, there is no one best time of the year to fish the Kamloops region.  This is largely due to the diversity that the Kamloops area offers, with some lakes fishing better in the spring while some come into their peak fishing season in the summer and/or fall.  Elevation plays a large part in determining which lakes will be fishing at different times of the year.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?
