10x your knowledge and go into the 2020 stillwater season with effective confidence and strategy
Stillwater fly fishing can be simple, but that doesn’t mean it is easy. I have to laugh when I look at some of my attempted methods, and the fact that I even thought they would work!
I would load my $30 pair of camouflage neoprene waders, belly boat that I got for free off of the internet, and a highly disorganized fly box into the back of my Honda CRX and head for the lake.
A good day for me in those days was a couple of fish to hand, I would kick around with a leech or a dragonfly nymph and hope the fish in the lake with the lowest IQ would miraculously swim into my fly with their mouths open.
As I graduated from high school, I began working professionally in the fly fishing industry, and modelling people that I knew had the level of knowledge and expertise that I wanted to possess for myself.
After ten years of obsessing over the game of stillwater fly fishing, I wanted to find a way to help people fast-track their learning rate and ultimately have a more enjoyable experience on the water while sharing their experience and knowledge with other people.
When I made the decision to step away from guiding after the spring of 2020 and focus on greater value to a higher number of anglers looking to rapidly increase their knowledge and skillset, I began drafting the Stillwater Success 6-Week Coaching Program.
This program involves weekly live 90-minute video calls covering a new topic each week, worksheets and journals to continue exploring what you’re doing right and what you can improve on, a 60-minute 1-on-1 Q&A call, and access to a private Facebook group where recorded calls will be stored.
What will you learn in this program?
I have compounded the 6 most valuable aspects of stillwater fly fishing into weekly talks, each covering a different topic. This ranges from ensuring you are using your equipment to its maximum potential, learning entomology inside and out, how to read lake structure, how to make rapid calculations in your head and train your brain to make these decisions for you, and the game of chironomid fishing inside and out.
Does it matter if you can’t make each call, and when will they take place?
It is absolutely fine if you can’t make each call as they will be stored in the Stillwater Success Facebook group. Calls will take place each Tuesday at 7:30pm PST.
How do I apply for enrolment?
There are four spaces available for this course, but I want to make sure that people applying are a right fit for a program. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org or DM on Instagram or Facebook!
You can also fill out this form and I will get back to you as soon as possible:
